Standard Life Makes Senior Hire For Multi-Asset Investments

Standard Life Investments, the UK-based fund management division of Standard Life, has strengthened its multi-asset team with the addition of Adam Rudd as an investment director.

Rudd previously worked for JP Morgan in New York and joins a 25-strong team at Standard Life, reporting to Guy Stern, head of multi-asset fund management. As an investment director, Rudd will provide analysis, investment recommendations, implementation strategies and management for the firm's multi-asset investments.

Euan Munro, head of multi-asset investing and fixed income, said Rudd's skills as a quantitatively-orientated derivatives specialist will boost the knowledge and experience within the multi-asset team.

In other recent news, last week Standard Life unveiled the Global Emerging Markets Unconstrained SICAV fund, targeting investors seeking exposure to emerging markets without the constraints of a benchmark. The portfolio will aim to hold between 30 and 50 stocks, focusing exposure to maximise alpha opportunities in both emerging and frontier markets.

Standard Life Investments has £163.4 billion (about $261.1 billion) in assets under management, as at 30 September.
