Standard Life Investments Bolsters UK Real Estate Research Team

The global asset manager seeks to enhance its research and strategy planning capabilities with its latest hire.

Life Investments has appointed Mark Clacy-Jones as a fund
strategist within its global real estate research and strategy
team.
Clacy-Jones, who has 10 years' industry experience, joined the
firm in January from Knight Frank, where he was head of data and
analytics, commercial research since April last year. Prior to
that, he held the role of vice president and head of applied
research at MSCI Real Estate.
In his new Edinburgh-based role, he reports to David Hedalen and is responsible for guiding and facilitating global strategy across SLI's real estate funds, the firm said in a statement.
“Mark’s valuable industry experience and skill set will complement our established real estate team here at Standard Life Investments. His deep understanding of international real estate market dynamics, and practical experience means he will instantly add value to our investment team,” said Anne Breen, head of real estate research and strategy.
