Standard Life Hires To Build Fixed Income Team

Standard Life Investments, the UK-based fund management arm of Standard Life, has enhanced its global fixed income offering with two new appointments, taking the headcount of the firm’s credit team to 28.
Mark Kedar joins as a credit investment director focused on sterling. He joins from Kames Capital, where he was a fixed income fund manager for 15 years.
Felix Freund joins as a European credit investment director. He was latterly at Union Investment in Frankfurt, Germany, where he worked as a fund manager specialising in corporate bonds.
The new additions will report to Craig MacDonald, the fund manager's head of investment grade credit.
Standard Life Investments manages fixed income assets amounting to £71 billion (around $113 billion), £27 billion of which in sterling and European corporate bond assets.
