St James’s Place Capital, the wealth management business 60 per cent owned by HBOS, has transferred 99 mortgage advisors to specialist network Home of Choice Group to allow the group to "reinforce its focus" on core wealth management services. The self-employed advisors - known as partners - were offered the opportunity to join Home of Choice as appointed representatives on "enhanced terms". St James’s Place said that the 99 partners in question generated just 1.2 per cent of its total new business in the first six months of the year and stressed the move would not materially impact its 2006 results.
