Soc Gen Vet Is New HR Head at Asset Management Arm

François Leclerc has been appointed head of human resources for GIMS, the asset management and investor services division of the French Société Générale group. He succeeds Christian Méli, who is retiring. Mr Leclerc, a member of GIMS executive committee, reports directly to Philippe Collas, deputy chief executive of the group. Mr Leclerc began his career with Société Générale 1973. More recently, in 1999, he was appointed chairman and chief executive of SG Canada; in 2001, he created and implemented the human resources activity for the commercial department of the investment bank in Paris and in 2005 became head of HR for corporate and support functions at group headquarters.
