Smith & Williamson Names Partner For Business Services, Assurance Team

The London office of Smith & Williamson, the accountancy and investment house, has appointed Guy Swarbreck as a partner in the assurance and business services team. For the previous two years, he was a partner at UHY Hacker Young, where he had worked for 12 years.

Swarbreck has significant experience in providing audit and regulatory compliance consultancy to brokers, fund managers and corporate finance houses, Smith & Williamson said in a statement yesterday.

Earlier this month, the firm established a dedicated family office website to help private clients, their families and business interests with their financial affairs. Smith & Williamson has over £13 billion (about $20 billion) in funds under management and advice, as at end-December 2012. The group has 11 principal offices in the UK and Ireland.
