Smith & Williamson Names Associate Director

Smith & Williamson, the UK accountancy and investment management firm, has appointed Harish Dass as an associate director within its City-based tax and business services practice.

Dass, who joins from Grant Thornton, is a qualified chartered accountant and a chartered tax advisor, and has experience in providing holistic tax advice to entrepreneurs and business families, the firm said in a statement.

In his new role, Dass will advise UK tax-resident and non-UK domiciled individuals, and lead Smith & Williamson’s Asian business group. In this latter capacity he will focus on advising clients from the South Asian diaspora, working closely with Rajesh Sharma, partner and head of international tax at Smith & Williamson.

Smith & Williamson currently employs some 1,500 people across 11 principal offices in the UK and Ireland, in London, Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Dublin, Glasgow, Guildford, Manchester, Salisbury, Southampton, and Worcester.
