Singer & Friedlander, the UK investment bank and fund manager, has lost five investment managers to Ingenious Media, an investment company, according to reports in the UK press. The departures follow the lost of 11 S&F investment managers to Close Brothers last month. Originally, 14 investment managers were to join Close, but three in Singer’s Isle of Man business were persuaded to stay. According to reports, the team leaving S&F to go to Ingenious includes Peter Clark, Paul Gibson, Keith Barrett, Victoria Prendergast and Gerald Slocock. All are to work in the private client business of Ingenious. Ingenious Media, which focuses largely on UK media investments, was founded by Patrick McKenna, the former chief executive of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s theatre group, the Really Useful Group.
