HSBC’s Wealth and Tax Advisory Services has appointed George Lyons as a managing director in the New York office. In this new role, Mr Lyons will help build the overall tax practice in New Jersey and play a key role in expanding the corporate tax area in Metro New York at HSBC’s WTAS, an independent provider of tax, valuation, financial advisory and related consulting services. “Many of us at WTAS have previously worked with George and are excited for the opportunity to do so again,” said Joe Toce, managing director and New York office head. Mr Lyons joins from True Partners. Prior to that, he was a partner at Andersen and KPMG. WTAS consists of over 400 professionals located in twelve major cities throughout the US.
