Senior Investment Manager Defects To Rival - Report

A senior fund manager has moved from Artemis Asset Management to Aviva Investors, the asset management arm of UK-based insurance firm Aviva, according to Money Marketing.

John Wood has been appointed senior fund manager by Aviva Investors and will oversee the Aviva Investors UK Growth Fund and institutional UK equities business. He will report to David Lis, head of UK equities.

“I am confident his expertise and experience will be a major asset within Aviva Investors’ already successful offering in UK equities, which includes one of the top performing OEIC ranges in the market,” Mr Lis is quoted as saying.

Formerly known as Norwich Union Collective Investments, Aviva Investors' principal business activities are long-term savings, fund management and general insurance. Artemis Investments manages £11.3 billion in assets, as of 31 July, investing in unit trusts, an investment trust, hedge fund products, a venture capital trust and an international SICAV.
