Schroders Private Bank Opens for Business in Gibraltar

Schroders Private Bank is to open a representative office in Gibraltar in October 2007. The new office opens in response to the accelerating demand from clients based within the region, according to a statement. Nick Bennett, senior private banker and head of credit in Schroders Private Bank, Guernsey, will assume responsibility for the new office in Gibraltar. The office will be managed by a Gibraltarian, Michael Cuby. Mr Bennett said: “Schroders Private Bank has already been providing a range of private banking services for clients of Gibraltar based intermediaries for over ten years. Recently we have seen a significant uplift in interest from current clients, intermediaries and contacts based in the region. Our new office will provide a broad range of services that cater to both the divergent needs of different people as well as the changing needs of each client over time.”
