Schroders Emerging Market Equities Boss To Retire

The London-listed asset management company will soon see the departure of a long-serving emerging markets specialist.
Schroders’ head of emerging market equities, Allan Conway, is to retire after over a decade at the company.
Conway, who joined Schroders in 2004, manages funds including Schroder Global Emerging Markets, ISF Frontier Markets and ISF Emerging Markets. He will step down in August and continue to work with the company as an advisor.
He will be replaced by Tom Wilson, who joined Schroders 15 years ago and has worked as a fund manager within the global emerging market equity team since November last year.
“We have great strength and depth of experience within our global emerging markets equities team,” said Nicky Richards, Schroders' global head of equities.
“The senior portfolio managers within the team have worked together within the same investment philosophy and process for more than a decade. Tom’s proven investment track record and leadership skills mean he is the right person for the job.”
