Schroders Boosts Board With Former JO Hambro Capital Management CEO

Schroders has appointed former JO Hambro Capital Management chief executive Nichola Pease to its board as a non-executive director, effective from the start of September.
In addition to sitting on Schroders’ board, Pease will also be a member of the nominations committee.
Pease joined JO Hambro Capital Management as chief executive in 1998, going on to become chairman in 2008 before leaving the firm in 2011 following its acquisition by BT Investment Management. Before joining JO Hambro Capital Management she had been senior fund manager at Rowe Price-Fleming, having previously held fund management roles at Kleinwort Benson and then Citibank.
In other recent appointments at Schroders, towards the end of last month the firm appointed Patrick Vogel to the newly-created role of head of European and UK credit management and research, effective from 27 August.
In his new role, Vogel will oversee the firm’s London-based credit portfolio management and research function, while serving as lead portfolio manager for the Schroder ISF Euro Corporate Bond fund. He will report to Karl Dasher, global head of fixed income.
The departure of Adam Cordery, the firm’s former head of European and UK credit, emerged last month. Details of his next role have yet to emerge.
