Saxo Names New CEO For Swiss Business

Saxo Bank, the Denmark-headquartered online trading and investment house, has appointed Antonio Ferrante as the new chief executive of Saxo Bank (Schweiz), its Swiss operation.
Saxo Bank, the Denmark-headquartered online trading and investment house, has appointed Antonio Ferrante as the new chief executive of Saxo Bank (Schweiz), its Swiss operation. Ferrante will report to the board of Saxo Bank (Schweiz), Saxo said in a statement yesterday.
The previous CEO was Søren Mose, who has stepped down with his management team of Ian Keates and Martin Beinhoff, the firm said.
Ferrante has more than 25 years of experience in banking in Switzerland and has worked for Citi, UBS and most recently, Credit Suisse, which he joined in 2001.
Saxo Bank (Schweiz) was launched in February 2008. Part of the institutional business of this firm comprises large institutional banks and brokers who are already contracted outside Switzerland but serviced in the country. Going forward, this part of the business will be serviced out of London or Saxo Bank’s headquarters in Copenhagen as was the case previously. The other part of the institutional business which is contracted and serviced locally will remain so along with the private part of the business, the statement said.
