Sandy Cove Advisors, the Massachusetts-based multi-family office, has appointed Kate Saltonstall as a partner/chief investment officer.

Saltonstall’s primary responsibilities center on establishing client investment policies and strategies, including asset allocation, portfolio creation, and investment vehicle selection, the firm said

Previously, Saltonstall worked at BlackRock as a managing director. Overall, she has 19 years of experience in investments, with a particular focus on risk management.

Prior to BlackRock, Saltonstall worked at two investment management firms in Boston - Boston Partners Asset Management, where she was a principal, and Independence Investment where she covered consumer products, healthcare, and technology stocks across all equity sizes. Saltonstall began her career at Morgan Stanley in equity research.
