SG Appoints New Private Banking, Asset Management Head

French bank Société Générale has appointed Jean-Pierre Mustier as head of Global Investment Management & Services.

Mr Mustier, who was chief executive officer of Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking, will also be appointed chairman and chief executive of Société Générale Asset Management.

Within Soc Gen’s GIMS there are three business lines:  private banking, asset management and securities services. Daniel Truchi is global head of private banking.

Mr Mustier’s deputy will be Sylvie Rucar, chief operating officer of Global Investment Management & Services and a member of Société Générale’s Management Committee.

In his new appointment, which will be effective from 1 October, Mr Mustier will replace Alain Clot whose new position within the group will be announced shortly.

Michel Pereite has been appointed head of Société Générale Corporate and Investment Banking, as previously announced. He is a member of the group’s executive committee.

Philippe  Collas, chairman of SG Global Investment Management & Services, has been appointed Senior Advisor to Frédéric Oudea, the French bank’s chief executive.

Françoise Mercadal-Delasalles joins Société Générale as head of operating efficiency and innovation alongside Séverin Cabannes, deputy chief executive officer.
