SEI Names Senior Business Development Director For London

The US investment and technology firm SEI has created the new role of senior business development director in London, hiring David Simpson, formerly of Barclays Wealth, to take up the position.

While at Barclays Wealth Simpson had been head of UK asset management, a role in which he was responsible for the management and strategic development of the firm’s retail investment platform services in the UK.

The hire of Simpson is intended to support the continued development of SEI’s Global Wealth Services offering – one of the main facets of which is the firm’s Global Wealth Platform.

"His [Simpson's] extensive operations and consultancy experience across product development, distribution, and infrastructure will complement SEI's pedigree of providing clients with market leading wealth processing capabilities," said Ryan Hicke, managing director of SEI Global Wealth Services UK.
