Rothschild Restructures Guernsey Operation, Slashes Headcount
Rothschild Trust Guernsey is set to cut its staff roster by a third as the firm looks to streamline parts of the business.
The UK wealth management firm said in a statement that its headcount on the island in the English Channel will be reduced by 20 from today’s 60 over the next six months.
The main change is that RTG’s administration centre will be brought onto the same global platform as the rest of the group, and that several support processes will be managed centrally.
Rothschild believes that the changes will help it to grow its business and strengthen its future in Guernsey: “We continue to focus on the island as a key jurisdiction due to the strong demand from private clients from around the world,” said Emma Roberts, managing director of RTG.
The firm also said that it will be moving from its current location to St Julian’s Court, where its sister company is based, later this year.
