Rathbones Names New Investment Director

The new senior hire has over 25 years of industry experience, managing investments for a wide range of private clients, professional partners, charities and intermediaries.
Rathbones Investment Management has appointed David Moore as an investment director in Glasgow.
Moore, who has over 25 years of industry experience, has managed investments for a wide range of private clients, professional partners, charities and intermediaries. He has expertise in generational wealth management and helping to preserve and grow clients’ wealth, the firm said in a statement.
His responsibilities at Rathbones will include maintaining one-to-one relationships with clients, where he will manage investment portfolios and develop client wealth strategies to help achieve their investment goals. Building on Rathbones’ footprint in Glasgow, he will report to Alastair McLean, investment director at Rathbones in Scotland, the firm continued.
Moore is a fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment. He is also a trustee of The Trades House of Glasgow and chairs the Investment Committee. He is currently the visitor of the Incorporation of Maltmen in Glasgow, a charity that supports worthy causes connected to the drinks and hospitality sector.
Prior to joining Rathbones, Moore spent 13 years at RBC Brewin Dolphin where he was a divisional director. Before that, he was a portfolio manager at Barclays Wealth.
“David has a wealth of knowledge and expertise to bring to the table and will be a valued addition to the Glasgow team. David will also be instrumental in bolstering our offering and services to both existing and potential clients in Scotland,” Alastair McLean, investment director at Rathbones in Scotland, said.
