Radiant Financial Group Focuses On Scotland

Radiant Financial Group, the consolidator of IFA firms, has entered the Scottish market after acquiring two independent financial advisor businesses, adding over £300 million to the group’s assets under advisement.
This week, Radiant
Financial Group acquired Perth-based IFA, GS Financial
Services, which has £157 million ($181 million) in assets
under administration.
The group has also acquired Aberdeen-based AMLP Financial
Planning, which has £156 million in AUA , the firm said in a
statement.
Radiant said it is particularly interested in working with
business owners who have reached a stage in their development
where they need more help with their back-office functions so
that they can focus on their clients or on continuing their
growth.
The firm is led by CEO Simon Cogman-Hellier, who has more than 40
years’ experience in financial services.
Having grown its presence in Scotland through the acquisitions of
ALMP Financial Planning and George Stubbs, Radiant said it plans
to expand significantly in the region.
Radiant stressed that it is continuing to look for
acquisition opportunities in Scotland as well as the rest of the
UK. The group is keen to speak with IFAs who would prefer to
focus more on servicing their clients rather than having to deal
with the “infrastructure” of the business. Radiant is also
interested in talking to IFAs who are looking for a capital event
as they focus on the next stage of their career or life in
general.
Welcoming the move, Angus Mackintosh, director of AMLP Financial
Planning, said: “Their focus on client service and great client
outcomes, combined with understanding that our staff are the
heart of the business, made the decision an easy one.”
Cogman-Hellier added: “We believe they are an excellent fit in
helping us provide client-centric advice and exceptional delivery
as we look to expand across Scotland.”
