RBS Announces Asia-Pac Chief Risk Officer
Royal Bank of Scotland has named a new chief risk officer for Asia-Pacific.
John Shelley will now be responsible for overseeing the risk management functions in the region.
He assumes his new role after most serving as chief administrative officer for markets and international banking, Asia-Pacific. Before that, he was chief executive and chief operating officer of retail and commercial markets, Asia.
He replaces David Thomas, who left in June 2012 to become head of risk management at Malaysia's CIMB Bank.
Royal Bank of Scotland is committed to growing in Asia, having four of six global hubs based in the region, where it has 11 offices.
