RBC Wealth Management Takes On $230 Million Team In Dallas

RBC Wealth Management has brought in the Nierling Investment group - latterly of Morgan Stanley (Smith Barney) - to its Dallas, TX, executive office, according to complex director Andy Teller.

The team brings over $230 million in assets under management and $2.2 million in production. It is comprised of Dick Nierling, senior vice president and financial advisor; financial advisors Richard and Alex Nierling (his two sons); and Alan Henry, vice president and financial advisor.

The team joins RBC from Morgan Stanley (Smith Barney), where Nierling spent his 41-year career. He started working with his son, Richard Nierling, in 2005, while Alex joined the team in 2010.

Continuing what has been a very busy period for RBC, this week the firm appointed Mark Rabbe - who oversees $85 million in client assets - to serve as branch director of its Burlington, VT, and Andover, MA, offices.

And, in a related move, the week before it added the Evans group - with over $177 million in assets under management and $1.15 million in production - to its Denver, CO, tech office. The group - latterly of Bank of America's Merrill Lynch - is comprised of David Evans, senior vice president and financial advisor, Nepeta Godec, senior financial associate, and Patty Eckelberry, senior client associate.

In the US, RBC Wealth Management operates as a division of RBC Capital Markets. The firm has over $227 billion of assets under administration and nearly 2,000 financial advisors operating across 42 states.
