RBC Wealth Management Names New Asia CEO

The new CEO takes the helm from Peter Corry, who has been at the Canadian firm for 22 years and is to step down.

RBC Wealth Management has appointed Terence Chow as head of the business in Asia, starting from 1 November, filling the slot left by Peter Corry, who wants to retire after 22 years at the firm. Corry was most recently head, RBC Wealth Management - Asia.

Chow, who is based in Hong Kong, joined RBC 15 years ago and has had a number of senior roles with the organisation, primarily focused on strategy, execution, planning and operations for the wealth management business and RBC Capital Markets in Toronto and New York. Since February 2019, Chow has been chief operating officer, RBC Wealth Management – Asia.

As part of the change, Mike Reed, CEO, RBC Singapore Branch, will lead RBC Wealth Management’s Singapore office and Southeast Asia private banking team, reporting to Chow.

A few days ago RBC Wealth Management added two senior figures to its private banking teams in Hong Kong and Singapore. Andrew Cheng joined the Hong Kong team, reporting to Vicky Lin, deputy head, private banking, Greater China. Andrew White joined the Singapore team, reporting to Dom Lane, executive director and team head, private banking.
