RBC Wealth Management Names Interim Boss For Asia Arm

The bank is moving one of its senior figures in Asia to temporarily fill the Asia CEO vacancy for the wealth management arm.

RBC Wealth Management has appointed Rod Ireland as the interim head of its Asia business, filling a spot left by Terence Chow who – as reported here – has left the Canadian bank.

Ireland, who is based in Singapore, will retain his existing job as head of global markets Asia-Pacific for RBC Capital Markets.

The existing RBC Wealth Management leadership team will remain in place including:

Iggy Chong, head, enterprise strategic clients and interim market head, Greater China;

Vivian Kiang, head of wealth planning and fiduciary services, RBC WM Asia;

Juan Aronna, head, investment solutions and products, RBC WM Asia; and

Kamran Azim, chief operating officer, RBC WM Asia.
