RBC Global Asset Management has launched the RBC QUBE Low Volatility Global Equity Fund, available for purchase by individual and institutional investors in Canada.

The fund seeks to provide investors with 30 per cent less volatility than a standard equity portfolio, as well as downside protection and a risk-adjusted return potential.

The RBC QUBE Low Volatility Global Equity Fund, in addition to the RBC QUBE Low Volatility Canadian Equity Fund and RBC QUBE Low Volatility US Equity Fund, is suitable for investors who are seeking a defensive core equity investment with the potential to earn equity-like returns, but with less volatility than a traditional equity portfolio, the firm said.

In other recent developments, earlier this month RBC’s wealth management arm hired Angelina Yap as a London-based director within its UK private client team to serve clients from east and southeast Asia.
