Options strategist Rampart names investment chief

Former Schroder executive Harrington to lead business-development efforts. Asset management and option-strategy shop Rampart Investment Management has appointed John Harrington as the new head of its investment department.
A member of Rampart's executive committee, Harrington will oversee the firm's portfolio managers and traders and lead new business initiatives in high-net-worth and institutional markets.

Harrington had been in charge of U.S-equity business at New York-based Schroder Investment Management. He has also worked at Wellington Management, Munder Capital Management, and RogersCasey.
Rampart Investment Management manages about $10 billion, mainly for high-net-worth individuals. -FWR
