Old Mutual Wealth Hires From Investec To Boost UK Advisory Sales

The wealth management business of London-listed Old Mutual has filled the new position of head of advisory sales.
The UK's Old Mutual Wealth has hired Gary Dale from Investec to lead its advisory sales.
At Investec, Dale was head of intermediary sales for derivatives and structured products. He brings 20 years' industry experience, having previously worked at Santander and Prudential.
He takes on the newly-created role following the departures of the firm's head of sales for the South, Nick Jones, and head of sales for the North, Gary Stirrup. He will head up sales and distribution of all products into the UK, as well as the investment solutions supporting those products. He will lead the UK distribution team and report to Scott Goodsir, managing director of UK distribution.
“Gary will work closely with advisors and help the distribution team harness these new opportunities. The sheer breadth of Gary’s knowledge and expertise will be a real asset to the team and I look forward to him joining,” said Goodsir.
The wealth manager recently reshuffled its management team following the launch of an investment division, appointing Quilter Cheviot's chief executive, Martin Baines, as chief investment director. As of the end of June, it looked after £101 billion ($155 billion) in client investments.
