Ogier Sharpens Dispute Resolution Focus On Hong Kong

Ogier, the offshore law firm, has added to its dispute resolution team in Hong Kong by moving one of its partners to Asia from the British Virgin Islands.

Ogier, the offshore law firm, has added to its dispute resolution team in Hong Kong by moving one of its partners to Asia from the British Virgin Islands.

Ogier's Hong Kong dispute resolution practice is headed by partner Ray Ng who has relocated from BVI to Hong Kong.

“Ray’s move to Hong Kong is a direct response to increasing client demand for on the ground access to BVI-acquired litigation experience and Mandarin language skills. Ray has been appearing regularly for over four years in the BVI courts and is the most senior Mandarin-speaking BVI litigator in Asia,” Ogier said in a statement.

Ogier's Dispute Resolution service in Asia will advise on [BVI, Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey law] companies, board and shareholder disputes; corporate insolvency and winding up issues; the effect of decisions on the Hong Kong Matrimonial Division on Cayman and BVI trusts as well as investor and founder disputes. The firm does not advise on Hong Kong Law, however.
