Ogier Promotes Three Senior Lawyers
Offshore law firm Ogier has promoted three of its senior lawyers. Bryon Rees has been promoted to managing associate, and Robert Macredie and Sally Peedom have been promoted to senior associates.
Rees has been with Ogier since 2005, advising on investment funds and corporate matters, as well as on some high-profile Guernsey transactions, most recently the launch of the $5.5 billion Guernsey Investment Fund, Coller International Partners VI.
Macredie, who joined Ogier in 2011, having previously practised in the corporate transactions group at Baker & McKenzie in Sydney, Australia, advises international and Guernsey clients on corporate, finance and investment fund matters. He recently advised Swiss private banking group EFG International on its Basel III-compliant notes issue.
Peedom has been part of the litigation team since joining Ogier in 2010, before which she served at Minter Ellison Lawyers. Peedom’s practice covers commercial litigation matters including cases involving contentious insolvency matters, share disputes, investment fund, and trust and construction disputes.
In February, Ogier promoted three of its staff to partner in the global litigation team: Mathew Newman, who is based in the Guernsey law firm, Rachael Reynolds, who works for the Cayman legal practice, and Nick Williams in the Jersey law firm.
