Offshore Law Firm Appoints New Senior Associate

Carey Olsen established its BVI office in 2013 with an initial focus on international commercial transactions, investment funds and offshore structures.

International offshore law firm Carey Olsen has appointed Tim Wright as a senior associate to its dispute resolution and insolvency team situated in the British Virgin Islands.

Prior to joining the firm, Wright worked in London for specialist litigation firm Candey and law practice Morgan, Lewis & Bockius. His recent work included acting for the claimant in a high profile dispute over the ownership of luxury hotel group Aman Resorts.

He has experience in corporate and personal insolvency, shareholder disputes, fraud, professional negligence, trusts and investigations, fund litigation and regulatory work, Carey Olsen said in a statement.

“We are seeing strong appetite for litigation services in the BVI and as a result we are further building the team, appointing highly specialised lawyers like Tim to meet the needs of our clients who are looking for significant BVI and international legal experience," said Ben Mays, Carey Olsen's head of dispute resolution and insolvency in the BVI.
