Nucleus, the UK-based IFA wrap platform, has bolstered its senior management team with the appointment of John McNeil to the new role of managing director.

McNeil comes across from Optos, a company in the healthcare industry, where he had held several senior positions since joining in 2005.

His responsibility at Nucleus will be to ensure that the business is delivering in line with targets and priorities. He will report to David Ferguson, the firm's chief executive and founder.

Last year, over 20 new members joined the network, which now comprises 90 firms.
