Chicago-based Northern Trust has named Joanna Stringer as the new managing director of its personal financial services business in Connecticut.

In her new role Ms Stringer will oversee regional wealth management services, including investment management, financial planning, fiduciary services and private banking for individuals and institutions

Previously Ms Stringer was head of business development in the Nordic region for Northern Trust’s corporate and institutional services group. Prior to this she served in a variety of positions with Northern Trust, including as a product manager, portfolio manager and wealth strategist. She has been with the group for 11 years.
