Nomura Selects SimCorp Platform For Luxembourg Fund Administration

The Luxembourg arm of Japan’s Nomura Bank has selected SimCorp Dimension as the platform for its fund administration and fund accounting activities.

Nomura Bank Luxembourg focuses primarily on fund administration, fund accounting and tax calculations for a broad range of financial instruments. According to the firms, Nomura’s selection of SimCorp Dimension was based on a conviction that it was the only system compliant with the advanced fund administration and accounting requirements.

“Luxembourg is a strategic market for SimCorp and this new agreement is an important development for our entry into the Luxembourg fund management market,” said Troels Jensen, managing director of SimCorp Benelux.

Last month SimCorp, which is a Danish company, announced that Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management had become its second French client, signing up to use SimCorp Dimension as the platform for its domestic and international asset management activities.

SimCorp provides software for fund and investment management companies, pension funds, banks and insurance companies. With around 1,100 employees, the firm is headquartered in Copenhagen and has branches and subsidiaries in Amsterdam, Brussels, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, Kiev, London, Los Angeles, Munich, New York, Oslo, Paris, Stockholm, Sydney, Toronto, Vienna and Zurich.
