SunTrust Banks has named Willem-Jan Hattink as an executive vice president and head of private wealth management and institutional nvestment solutions. 

Mr Hattink, who will report to Atlanta-based SunTrust president William Rogers, succeeds Jenner Wood, who had been serving in this role on an interim basis. 

Mr Hattink, who has been with the bank more than 26 years, will have responsibility for private wealth management including international wealth management, the sports and entertainment banking group, personal asset management and SunTrust investment services.

Mr Hattink was most recently private wealth management line of business executive for SunTrust's central and mid-Atlantic banking groups. 

The bank has also announced that 22-year SunTrust veteran Jarrette White will succeed Mr Hattink.
