Nedbank Names New Wealth Management Head

He will lead wealth management and banking services across four jurisdictions.
Nedbank Private Wealth, a boutique wealth manager and private bank, has appointed Simon Gibbons (pictured left) as its executive head of wealth management.
In his new role, Gibbons will be responsible for growing the firm’s wealth management and private banking services across its four jurisdictions – the UK, the Isle of Man, Jersey and Dubai. He will report to Stuart Cummins, CEO of Nedbank Private Wealth, (pictured right) the firm said in a statement.
Gibbons has more than 20 years of industry experience across wealth management, financial advice, and banking, having worked for various firms including Barclays Wealth, Santander, and Lloyds Bank.
Most recently, he was head of wealth management at Fidelity International, where he was responsible for developing the business strategy and wealth management proposition to grow client numbers.
Gibbons, who focuses on growing advice businesses, has experience of managing businesses across different regulatory environments, including within the UK and its Crown Dependencies, the UAE and Africa, the firm added.
The appointment is the latest addition to the Nedbank Private Wealth team that reinforces its commitment to growth. Richard Sayers joined the Jersey team earlier this year as head of client development. See more commentary about the firm here.
“Simon has a proven track record for delivery and an excellent reputation across the profession, possessing the skillset to lead from the front and support our talented teams across all our jurisdictions,” Cummins said.
