Natixis Focuses On

Boston-headquartered Natixis Global Asset Management has unveiled a platform designed to help individual investors and financial advisors address portfolio risk arising from market volatility.

The Durable Portfolio Construction platform recognizes a “renewed emphasis” on asset protection among investors, the firm said.

The platform includes an expanded portfolio research and consulting group which will help clients evaluate risk, asset allocation and diversification through a consultative program.

This team is “completely agnostic with regard to products offered by NGAM and its investment affiliates” and “does not make specific product recommendations,” the asset manager said.

The offering also includes a new research center, which will make studies on issues such as institutional investor sentiment available to advisors. As part of this, Natixis has established advisory panels composed of financial advisors and representatives from the firm’s affiliates to provide insights and recommendations to investors globally.

NGAM will also be hosting a series of symposiums on durable portfolio construction, with events planned for Rome (16 May 2012), Madrid (19 June 2012), London and several US locations.
