Mourant International Finance Administration, part of management services firmMourant, has strengthened its client services team in Jersey with the appointment ofFrancois Chesnay as a director of corporate services.

Mr Chesnay, who will focus primarily on client relationship management, has 10 years’ experience in capital markets. He joins Mourant from Ogier where he spent nearly four years administering structured finance vehicles.

Before moving to Jersey in 2005, he worked as an economics researcher at theBank of France and then atKPMG specialising in providing consultancy services to investment banks.

Mourant specialises in offshore law and fund and corporate administration. It currently has offices in Cayman, Dubai, Dublin, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Jersey, London, Luxembourg, New York and Singapore. The company employs more than 1,000 individuals around the globe.

The firm is made up of two divisions. Mourant International Finance Administration is a provider of fund and corporate administration services, with more than $150 billion in fund assets under its administration. It operates from offices in Cayman, Guernsey, Hong Kong, Jersey, London, Luxembourg, New York, San Francisco and Singapore.

Mourant du Feu & Jeune operates from offices in Cayman, Guernsey, Jersey and London, specialising in providing offshore legal services to financial institutions, corporations, fund promoters and high net worth individuals.

In late February,Royal Bank of Canada completed its acquisition of Mourant Private Wealth, adding a further 44 staff to its business and more than £3.5 billion (around $4.8 billion) in assets under administration.
