Morgan Stanley Avoids US Gender Discrimination Case

A Manhattan federal judge has ruled that former Morgan Stanley investment management vice president Alice Weiss did not provide sufficient evidence to justify a trial in a gender discrimination lawsuit she filed against the Wall Street bank after being fired in September 2003. The judge ruled that Ms Weiss has been dismissed as part of a company restructuring rather than having been the subject of age and gender discrimination, as she had claimed to the court.
