Merrill Names Ex-UBS Man To Head Up Investment Solutions

Merrill Lynch Wealth Management has recruited Jeremy Brown from UBS to head up its investment solutions unit across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
In his new London-based role Brown will oversee the development, delivery and after sales support for the products and services offered by firm’s advisors across EMEA. He will report jointly to Mark Curtis, head of international investment solutions, and David Jervis, head of Merrill Lynch Wealth Management EMEA.
While with UBS Brown was most recently an equity derivatives sales trader, having previously been a fixed income derivatives sales trader. Before this he was a derivatives sales trader at Skandinaviska Enskilda Banken.
In other recent hires at Merrill’s EMEA arm, earlier this month the firm strengthened its advisory offering in Ireland with the appointment of two financial advisors - John Flavin and Keith Ryan - in Dublin. Flavin was latterly at Bank of Ireland Private Banking where he was a senior manager advising Irish private clients; Ryan previously worked at Covestone Asset Management as a director providing asset management services to a single family office.
