Merrill Lynch Recruits UBS Advisor Team, MSSB Branch Manager
Bank of America Merrill Lynch has added a UBS advisor team as well as a branch manager from Morgan Stanley Smith Barney, Reuters reports.
Brothers David and Kenneth Ramirez have reportedly moved from UBS to Merrill Lynch’s office in Paramus, New Jersey, while Shamus O'Rourke – latterly of MSSB – has reportedly joined Merrill Lynch in New Haven, Connecticut.
In other recent news, Merrill Lynch is soon to lose the head of its wealth management business, as Lyle LaMothe is due to retire on 1 May. LaMothe, who took up the role in 2008, wants to focus on personal interests going forward.
No successor for LaMothe has yet emerged.
