Mercer Realigns Asia Senior Investment Management Lineup
Mercer, the global investment consulting firm, has made several changes to its Asian investments team as part of a realignment effort across markets.
Tim Jenkins is now regional business leader for investments and retirement for growth markets; Deborah Bannon is investments market business leader for Greater China; Garry Hawker has been named director of consulting for growth markets; while Michelle Ng has been promoted to head of advisory for Greater China.
Jenkins is a member of Mercer's global investment and retirement leadership teams and growth markets leadership team. He joined the company in 1985 and has worked for Mercer Asia, the UK, New Zealand and Australia.
In the new structure, Hawker will ensure clients across Asia benefit from the new tailored approach to giving advice. He is based in Singapore, the firm said.
As head of the investments business for Greater China, Bannon's role has been expanded to cover oversight of the entire investment range in the area. Bannon became part of the firm's investment consulting arm in 2005.
Ng's role in the new structure has also been expanded from head of advisory for Hong Kong to Greater China. She is based in Hong Kong and brings experience working with different clients in Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan and China.
The realignment strategy is part of the new Growth Markets organisational structure which was created at the start of January.
"We see more demand from clients for delegated solutions. Our new structure in Asia allows us to effectively address this demand," Jenkins said.
