Mercer, the international consulting firm, has appointed a new Asia-Pacific talent head.

Mike Piker joins the Mercer Shanghai office as partner and lead Asia-Pacific international consultant for the talent business. Piker relocates from the New York headquarters to assume responsibility for driving the firm's human capital international consulting capabilities in Asia. 

He will be working closely with the talent business consultants across Mercer's retirement, risk and finance, health and benefits and mergers and acquisitions businesses worldwide.

Piker first joined the firm in March 2010 after working for the likes of Syngenta, Alcoa and Cisco Systems, as well as Buck Consultants and ORC Worldwide. 

Mercer has operations in over 40 countries.
