Mercer Adds Senior Hire To UK Team
Global consultancy Mercer, a subsidiary of New York-based Marsh & McLennan, has appointed Ben Gunnee as its new UK head of fiduciary management, effective January 2015.
Global consultancy Mercer, a subsidiary of New York-based Marsh & McLennan, has appointed Ben Gunnee as its new UK head of fiduciary management, effective January 2015.
Reporting to European head of fiduciary management, Michael Dempsey, Gunnee will be responsible for maintaining existing client relationships and for continuing to grow Mercer’s fiduciary management business in the UK, Mercer said in a statement.
“We are delighted to welcome Ben into his new role. Ben is well known to the UK Investments business and we are confident that, with his experience and energy, he will prove to be an excellent appointment as we continue to see strong demand for our support and services from the UK market,” said Dempsey.
Gunnee has been at Mercer for over 12 years, and currently heads up its Investments business in the Middle East, Before this, he was director of the Mercer Sentinel Group. Before joining mercer in 2002, he worked for the UK investment regulator and a major Life assurance company.
Earlier this week, Mercer entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Swiss-based SCM Strategic Capital Management AG, subject to regulatory approval.
Mercer currently has 228 clients with £24.3 billion ($38.3 billion) in assets under management across the European market.
