Athena Capital Advisors, the Massachusetts-headquartered registered investment advisor, has taken on Zung Nguyen as an executive wealth advisor to lead a new office in New York.

Nguyen has over 30 years of experience in global capital markets and relationship management. He was latterly head of JP Morgan’s private wealth management office in New York, where he served corporate executives, real estate-owning families, privately-held business owners and financial sponsors, as well as  numerous international clients.

Lisette Cooper, founder and chief investment officer of Athena, said the new office will allow the firm to better serve its existing client base in the New York metropolitan area as well as to continue expanding its wealth management and external CIO business nationally.

The New York City office is located at 767 Third Avenue, 36th Floor, New York, NY 10017 and is the firm’s second office overall.
