Martin Currie Adds Another Analyst To Research Team

Martin Currie, the UK-based equity manager, has boosted its research team with the appointment of Gavin MacGregor as senior research analyst for healthcare.
MacGregor will join the 13-strong research team in early August and thereafter will report to Jamie Mariani, the firm’s director of research.
MacGregor was latterly a pharmaceutical equity research analyst at Credit Suisse. Before his four-year tenure at the Swiss banking giant he worked at Lehman Brothers UK as European pharmaceutical equity research analyst.
Last month Matthew Franklin was added to the research team as senior research analyst covering global industrials and utilities.
In other developments, at the end of last month the firm unveiled a new fund seeking to capture the growth potential in Asia-Pacific with lower volatility than the broader market.
The Asia Long Term Unconstrained strategy will invest in 20 to 30 sustainable businesses in Asia with a long-term outlook to minimise transaction costs.
The fund is managed by Jason McCay and Andrew Graham. It is part of the Martin Currie Global Funds Luxembourg Sicav umbrella and is available in US dollar, sterling and euro share classes.
