Manulife Adds To Hong Kong Team

Manulife (International) Limited has appointed two senior executives in its Hong Kong office.

Emil Lee, the deputy general manager of Manulife-Sinochem Life Insurance (mainland China), has been named vice president and chief agency officer for the firm's Hong Kong unit and has been made part of the agency's senior-management team. He will assume his new position in mid-August.

Meanwhile, insurance veteran Doris Chan has been installed as the new head of sales and marketing, employee benefits. She will be responsible for agency channel management, marketing and strategic development, independent distribution and product management for the Hong Kong office's employee benefits department.

The executive moves complement Manulife's expansion strategy and come just a few days after the insurer launched a new Asia dividend fund based in Hong Kong, as separately reported by WealthBriefingAsia.
