UK listed stockbroker Hichens, Harrison has become a member of the Dubai International Financial Exchange. Hichens, which opened an office in Dubai during the summer, is the 17th member of the Middle Eastern exchange which opened for business in September 2005. The firm has also recruited Charles Green, former chief executive of Medical Solutions, as managing director to lead the company's move into healthcare in the region. Per Larsson, chief executive of the DIFX, said: "The arrival of Hichens, Harrison further demonstrates that the DIFX provides opportunities for niche brokers as well as larger firms. All types of investor, both international and regional, and wholesale and retail, have access to securities on the DIFX." Hichens, founded 200 years ago, is thought to be the oldest stockbroking firm in London.
