Lombard Odier Names New UK CEO

The new senior hire will oversee the London office's private client division team of bankers and investment specialists to increase Lombard Odier’s growth.

Geneva-headquartered Lombard Odier has appointed Mark Goddard (pictured) as UK chief executive officer, starting in November, subject to regulatory approval.

Based in London, Goddard will replace Duncan MacIntyre, who has led the business for eight years. MacIntyre will stay with the Swiss firm as a limited partner and UK region head. Goddard will report to MacIntyre as well as Stephane Herrmann, CEO Lombard Odier Europe, the firm said in a statement.

Goddard will be responsible for overseeing the bank’s private client division in the London office, leading its team of bankers and investment specialists, and driving Lombard Odier’s growth in this market.

Goddard begun his career as a banker at Coutts in 2001. He then joined UBS in 2005, where he held a variety of senior positions serving UK clients, in particular entrepreneurs. Most recently, he was UBS head of UK high net worth individuals.

“We are very pleased to welcome Mark Goddard as we navigate an exciting period of growth for the UK region. We have great confidence in his ability to lead, develop and grow our UK business, and his experience in serving entrepreneurs will be especially valuable as we seek to grow our share of this important client segment.”

The group has client assets of SFr318 billion ($367 billion), with 28 offices in 19 jurisdictions.
