Lombard International Assurance Launches New Technology Platform

Luxembourg-based Lombard International Assurance has launched a new technology platform which aims to provide enhanced investment administration services to its partners and clients.

The firm has partnered with Swiss software provider Profidata Group to use its integrated investment management software called XENTIS.

The upgrade is part of the firm's strategic development plan initiated in June 2012 aimed at improving customer service and positioning the business strongly for future growth.

“The new platform is a further step in positioning the business as the provider of choice for succession planning, asset protection and portable tax-compliant solutions using life assurance. Interacting with Lombard will now be simpler and more efficient,” said Ian Berry, Lombard's chief operations officer.

Lombard International Assurance has total assets under administration over €23 billion ($30.1 billion). The firm is part of the international division within the Friends Life group that was acquired by Resolution in 2009.
