LaSalle Appoints New Investment Head For Northern Europe

LaSalle, the New York-listed real estate investment managers, has made Insa von Jürgensonn its new regional director and head of portfolio management in Northern Europe with immediate effect.  Ms von Jürgensonn is based in the firm’s Munich office and reports to Simon Marrison, co-head of Europe.

In her new role Ms von Jürgensonn is responsible for managing all assets in Northern Europe as well as acting as fund manager for the two dedicated German investment vehicles managed by LaSalle Investment Management: LaSalle German Retail Venture and LaSalle German Income & Growth.

Ms von Jürgensonn joins LaSalle from Morgan Stanley Bank AG, Frankfurt, where she was vice president, Real Estate Asset Management.  Prior to this, she was head of corporate development at Viterra AG in Essen.

The move follows February’s appointment of David Edwards as fund president of LaSalle’s Asia Property Fund, having hired Kenneth Tsang as Asia Pacific head of research and strategy earlier that month.

LaSalle Investment Management, part of the Jones Lang LaSalle group, has approximately $41 billion of assets under management (as at Q4 2008) of private and public property equity investments.

The company  is active across a range of real estate capital and operating markets including private and public, debt and equity and clients include public and private pension funds, insurance companies, governments, endowments and private individuals from across the globe.
